The Hyderabad police, along with a sanitary officer from the Secunderabad Cantonment, conducted raids on two chicken shops – SSS Chicken Shop and Ravi Chicken Shop – in Begumpet, Secunderabad. During the operation, they seized a large quantity of spoiled chicken.

Two shop owners, M Bhasker (34) and Botta Raveendar (24), were arrested. The police recovered 600 kg of frozen and spoiled chicken waste and bones from their shops. Bhasker ran SSS Chicken Shop in Arjun Nagar, while Raveendar operated Ravi Chicken Shop in Anna Nagar. Both of them lived in Indiramannagar, Rasoolpura.

According to the police, the two men had planned to sell months-old chicken waste and bones to fast food centers and wine shops at cheaper prices. Freezing chicken waste for long periods makes it unsafe for consumption, leading to serious health risks.
