Hyderabad: Just before Diwali, the Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force, along with the Central Zone team and Saifabad police, discovered an illegal storage of firecrackers. They arrested a man and seized firecrackers worth Rs 5 lakh.

The person arrested is G Sriram, a 31-year-old resident of Murad Nagar in Mehdipatnam. According to the police, Sriram was storing the firecrackers in a go-down located at Moghal’s Emami Mansion on Chintal Basthi Road, Saifabad. The firecrackers belonged to various brands and were stored in a residential area.

Sriram, who works a private job, decided to store the firecrackers to make quick money during the Diwali season. However, this act posed a serious risk to the safety of the people living in the apartment.
