The DGP explained that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy had instructed him to visit and convey the government’s sorrow over the tragic loss. The family of Constable Pramod Kumar will receive financial aid of Rs 1 crore, a 300-yard house plot, a pension, and a job opportunity for one family member. The DGP highlighted the officer’s dedication and promised ongoing support from the department.
At the Commissionerate office, DGP Shivadhar Reddy distributed housing plots to nine families of police officers who died in service. Since 1989, 18 officers have died in the Nizamabad district. Now, nine families are receiving 300-yard plots in Gannaram, Indalvai mandal. The remaining families are encouraged to claim their plots.
During Police Martyrs’ Commemoration Day, 200-yard plots were given to martyrs’ families, and new housing plots were allocated to families of 33 officers who died at the Andhra-Odisha border in 2008. These gestures honor their sacrifices.
Rural MLA Bhupathi Reddy suggested that Syed Asif, injured while trying to capture Riyaz, should be offered a Home Guard position. DGP Shivadhar Reddy responded positively, stating they will try to provide him a job during the next recruitment.
