The Telangana government has granted administrative sanction of ₹1,108.27 crore for the proposed Sri Omkareswara Swamy Temple complex at Manchirevula village in Gandipet mandal, along with connected road works under the Musi Riverfront project. The Metropolitan Area and Urban Development Department issued the order as G.O.Rt. No. 928.

Of the total amount, ₹948.65 crore is earmarked for the temple complex. This includes about ₹598–599 crore for architectural works and around ₹349–350 crore for civil and structural works, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, and other facilities.

The remaining ₹159.62 crore will fund an approximately 2.5-km, six-lane approach road, planned to be 30 metres, or about 100 feet, wide. The HMDA master-plan road will run from Istana Villas to Keerthi West Wind Villas and connect nearby Greyhounds land and the Young India Police School to the riverfront network.

Plans for the temple precinct include the main Omkareswara Swamy temple and shrines for Veerabhadra and Bhadrakali, Lalitha Maha Tripurasundari Devi, Bala Ganapathy and Bala Subramanya. The proposed facilities also include maha and Nandi mandapams, prakarams, raja gopurams, a yagasala, a pushkarini and a Shiva statue. Reports describe an approximately eight-acre layout, with a roughly 100-foot statue and landscaped and recreational areas, near the Narsingi–Kokapet stretch of the Musi.

The proposal came from the Musi Riverfront Development Corporation Limited. Reports say a technical committee has been formed to work on the design, detailed project reports, rates and tenders, with priority given to preserving nearby older structures, including the Veerabhadra and Machileshwara temples. The sanction announcements have not specified a completion timeline.
