    In 2024 alone, the Telangana police helped return Rs 183 crore to people affected by cybercrime. This was made possible through strong partnerships with banks, financial institutions, and cyber monitoring agencies. These partnerships help trace and stop fraudulent transactions quickly.

    While crimes like murder, burglary, and assaults have decreased in recent years, cybercrimes have increased. Officials say this is because criminals are becoming more skilled in using technology for illegal activities.

    Telangana police have become one of the top performers in handling cybercrimes and recovering lost mobile phones. Using advanced tracking systems and dedicated cybercrime units, they have recovered over 60,000 stolen or lost phones. This has brought relief to many people.

    In addition to these efforts, the police are also working on blocking SIM cards, IMEI numbers, and websites used by criminals. These steps show the police’s strong commitment to using technology for public safety and support.
