The Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TGSPDCL) has announced a significant initiative to enhance its consumer service infrastructure by approving the distribution of 236 dedicated mobile phones across its operational network. The mobile devices will be provided to Fuse Call Centers, Circle Control Rooms, and the Central Breakdown Department (CBD) to facilitate faster and more efficient handling of consumer complaints and power-related issues across the state.
Under this new arrangement, 217 mobile phones have been allocated to Fuse Call Centers, which serve as the primary touchpoint for consumers reporting power supply issues. Additionally, 7 mobile phones will be provided to Circle Control Rooms for better coordination and monitoring, while 12 mobile phones have been designated for the Central Breakdown Department to ensure rapid response to major power disruptions. This distribution aims to create a comprehensive communication network that can address consumer concerns more effectively.
The mobile phones will enable staff members to utilize the SASA Mobile Application for streamlined complaint management. Through this application, personnel will be able to receive consumer complaints directly, update complaint status in real time, and maintain continuous communication with affected consumers. The system is designed to improve response times significantly and provide consumers with transparent updates on the resolution of their grievances. The application-based approach represents a shift toward technology-driven service delivery in the power distribution sector.
This initiative demonstrates TGSPDCL’s focus on leveraging digital technology to modernize its consumer service framework. The move is expected to enhance overall service efficiency by reducing response times and improving coordination between different departments handling power-related complaints. By equipping field staff and control room operators with dedicated mobile devices integrated with the complaint management system, the power distribution company aims to establish a more responsive and consumer-friendly service model across Telangana.
