Hyderabad: A case has been filed by the Hyderabad police against Tollywood choreographer Shaik Jani Basha, also known as Jani Master. He is accused of sexually assaulting and threatening a female colleague.
The complaint was made by a 21-year-old woman choreographer from Madhya Pradesh. She had previously worked with Jani Master and reported to the police that he had sexually assaulted her multiple times. Following her complaint, the Raidurgam police registered a zero-FIR and transferred the case to the Narsingi police station for further investigation.
The police have charged Jani Master under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including Section 376(2)(n) for rape, Section 506 for criminal intimidation, and Section 323 for voluntarily causing hurt.
Jani Master is well-known in the South Indian film industry and has worked with several actors. He has choreographed many hit songs in the past.
