A nine-year-old girl named Mounika died after falling into an open manhole in Secunderabad on Saturday. She was on her way to buy milk with her brother when she fell into the manhole and was swept away by the water. Her family was notified and they rushed to the scene. The GHMC Disaster Response Force and local police were also called to help search for her. Her body was found in a nearby nala and taken to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem.
The locals are upset and angry at the GHMC officials for their negligence and are calling for those responsible to be held accountable.
