The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) chairman, Dr B Janardhan Reddy, has cleared up confusion regarding the Group-1 Prelims examination syllabus. In a statement on Sunday, Reddy confirmed that there would be no change of syllabus for the re-exam, which is scheduled for June. He assured candidates that whatever syllabus was previously notified would remain the same.

Reddy also noted that all candidates who had registered for the exam could attend once again. Approximately 3.85 lakh candidates had registered for the Group-1 exam, but only 2.85 lakh had appeared for the Prelims exam in October last year. Those who could not write the exam due to various reasons can write it now, he said.

On Saturday, IT Minister KT Rama Rao announced that all coaching material would be uploaded to the official website free of charge. However, some aspirants pointed out that the government had just made an announcement on re-conducting the exam without giving proper information about the study material. Some aspirants also said that the study material uploaded was not in detail but a synopsis of the syllabus.
