The Telangana TDP president, Kasani Gnaneswar, has asked the State government to give Rs 25 lakh to each family who lost a member in the recent floods. He also wants the government to provide compensation of Rs 20,000 per acre to farmers who lost their crops. Gnaneswar made these demands during a press conference at NTR Trust Bhavan in Hyderabad. He was joined by party leader Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy. The party has also decided to distribute blankets and essential items to the flood victims. Ravula wants the government to declare the floods as a State emergency. They plan to meet with a Central team and ask for assistance for the flood victims.
