Two Engineering Students Killed, Three Injured in Medipally Road Accident

A tragic road accident in Medipally claimed the lives of two engineering students and left three others critically injured when a speeding car crashed into a pillar near Pillar No. 97 around midnight. The victims were among a group of eight students travelling together when the incident occurred.

The students were travelling from Boduppal to IT Pocharam when the driver lost control of the vehicle, resulting in the fatal crash. All the students involved in the accident are from Wanaparthy district and were pursuing their engineering studies in Hyderabad.

The deceased have been identified as Sai Varun and Nikhil, who died on the spot due to the severity of the impact. The sudden loss has sent shockwaves through their college community and families back in Wanaparthy district.

Three students who sustained critical injuries in the accident were identified as Venkat, Rakesh, and Yashwanth. They were immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital where they are currently receiving medical treatment for their injuries.

The bodies of the deceased students have been shifted to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem examination. Hospital authorities are coordinating with the families of the victims who have been informed about the tragic incident.

The Medipally police have registered a case regarding the accident and have initiated a detailed investigation into the circumstances that led to the crash. Authorities are examining factors including vehicle speed, road conditions, and driver negligence to determine the exact cause of the accident.

Police officials are also investigating whether all safety measures were being followed at the time of the accident and have begun collecting statements from the injured students and other witnesses. The condition of the remaining three students who were in the vehicle is being monitored closely by medical staff.
