Two police officers arrested by ACB for accepting bribe

Two police officers under the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate in Hyderabad were arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) along with some private individuals for asking for and taking a bribe of Rs 3 lakh from someone.

The arrested officers are Circle Inspector G Veera Swamy and Sub-Inspector Shaik Shafi from Kushaiguda police station. They, along with a private person named Upender, demanded Rs 3 lakh from Singireddy Bharat Reddy in exchange for a favor related to a case against him.

The bribe money was found in Upender’s possession and all those involved were taken to ACB Court Nampally for further legal proceedings.
