UAE company wins contract to provide 200 sniper rifles

Hyderabad: A significant defense partnership between India and the UAE has been formed. Edge Group’s CARACAL, known for designing high-quality small arms, teamed up with ICOMM Tele Ltd from Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Ltd (MEIL). They have secured a contract to supply 200 CSR 338 sniper rifles to India’s Central Reserve Police Force.

These sniper rifles will be manufactured at the ICOMM Caracal small arms complex in Hyderabad. Hamad Alameri, CEO of Caracal, stated that this technology transfer marks a major step in UAE-India defense cooperation. It highlights continued efforts to support India’s security needs and bolster its defense industry.

Sumanth Paturu, Director of ICOMM Tele Ltd, emphasized that this initiative will bring world-class technology to India, create high-quality jobs in Hyderabad, and strengthen the country’s defense industrial base.
