Wanaparthy District: Elderly parents neglected by their children can seek help under the Elderly Maintenance and Welfare Act – 2007. They can start by filing a case with the RDO tribunal. If they don’t get justice or face neglect, they can further appeal to the District Collector.
To simplify this process, the government launched the TS CMMS portal. This platform allows seniors to file tribunal cases online without visiting the offices of the RDO or Collector, as stated by District Collector Adarsh Surabhi. The portal stores all tribunal and appellate case details, along with pending orders.
Senior citizens can submit their maintenance cases either through the online portal or at Meeseva centers. They can also track their case details on the portal. The government encourages the elderly in the district to utilize this convenient service.
