V.C. Sajjanar has stepped into the role of Hyderabad Police Commissioner as of this Tuesday. He assumed his duties at TGICCC in Banjara Hills.

A senior officer from the 1996 batch, Sajjanar boasts nearly three decades of experience. His leadership is marked by strength and competence.

Born in Hubli, Karnataka, Sajjanar is the son of C.B. and Girija Sajjanar. He pursued commerce in his studies and holds an MBA degree.

His career began as an Assistant Superintendent of Police in Jangaon and Pulivendula. He later became Superintendent of Police in various districts. Sajjanar has also led the CID Economic Offences Wing, the anti-terror unit OCTOPUS, and the 6th Battalion of Andhra Pradesh Special Police.

Upon his promotion to DIG and IG, he joined the Intelligence Department. He served as Cyberabad Police Commissioner and then as Vice-Chairman of TSRTC.

Known for his proactive policing approach, Sajjanar returns to play a crucial role in the Hyderabad police.
