The BRS cadres, led by former chief whip D Vinay Bhaskar, held a rally and protest at Kaloji Junction in Hanumakonda on Saturday to show their opposition to the arrest of MLC K Kavitha. Vinay criticized the Modi government for focusing on harassing opposition parties instead of fulfilling election promises. He accused the BJP of engaging in vindictive politics against opposition leaders, using agencies like ED, CBI, or IT to settle scores with those who oppose them.
Vinay claimed that the arrest of Kavitha by the ED was politically motivated and a threat to democracy. The rally was attended by MLC Baswaraj Saraiah, Hanumakonda ZP chairman Sudheer Kumar, and other senior leaders like Nagurla Venkateshwarlu, Sunder Raj Yadav, Marri Yadava Reddy, and BRS nominee for the Warangal Lok Sabha seat Kadiyam Kavya.
Overall, the BRS cadres expressed their strong disapproval of the tactics employed by the Modi government against opposition leaders and emphasized the importance of upholding democratic values.
