Water supply temporarily disrupted in parts of the city today

Hyderabad: On Wednesday, August 6, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) will halt drinking water supply temporarily. This is due to crucial pipeline work between the Lingampally and Sanathnagar reservoirs.

The Water Board stated in a press release that they will integrate pipelines of 1143/700 mm and 1050/600 mm diameters. The maintenance will occur from 6 AM to 10 PM, lasting 16 hours. During this period, many areas in O&M Division IX and Division VI will face either no water supply or reduced water pressure.

In Division XI, areas like Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, NTR Nagar, Srisri Nagar, and Prashant Nagar will be affected. Other impacted locations include Deendayal Nagar, Jinkalwada, Prabhakar Reddy Nagar, Samatha Nagar, Venkateshwara Nagar, Karmika Nagar, Shiva Shankar Nagar, LBS Nagar, Fateh Nagar, Charabanda Raju Colony, Balanagar, Janata Nagar, Chaitanya Basti, Vaddar Basti, Erukal Basti, Shastri Marg, Zilla Basti, Sriram Colony, 15th Phase, Kaithlapur, Raghavendra Colony, Hanuman Chowk, Yadav Basti, HP Road, Bhavani Nagar, Sardar Patel Nagar, Good Shed Road, JP Nagar (EWS, MIGH, HIG, LIG), and Sathya Sai Nagar.

In Division VI, affected areas include DNM Colony, Ashok Colony, Alauddin Koti, BJR Nagar, Renuka Nagar, Suprabhat Nagar, and Neemkar Nagar. The Board urges residents in these locations to save and use water carefully during the maintenance period.
