Hyderabad: On Sunday, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy highlighted the importance of women’s health, saying it is vital for the well-being of society. He explained that a healthy woman can help create healthier communities. When a woman is aware of what she eats, she is likely to encourage her family and friends to adopt similar healthy habits. This, in turn, leads to a healthier future generation and a stronger society.
Speaking at the Pink Power Run 2024, an event organized by the Sudha Reddy Foundation and Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited (MEIL), the CM stressed that prioritizing women’s health can boost economic growth and improve health equality. He urged everyone to work together to create a healthier and more empowered future for the women of Telangana. Reddy pointed out that women often put their family’s health before their own, and empowering them can improve their well-being.
The Chief Minister proudly stated that the Telangana government is dedicated to improving women’s healthcare. He believes that women’s health is essential for the prosperity of families and communities. Revanth Reddy also praised the event for its efforts in helping women overcome health challenges and encouraged everyone to support such initiatives.
Reddy further promised that his government would build more hospitals and strengthen the healthcare system to support women’s health and welfare. He called on everyone to join hands in creating a healthier future for women in Telangana.
During the Pink Power Run, the Chief Minister honored Dr. Kotha Ushalakshmi, a 91-year-old breast cancer survivor. Dr. Ushalakshmi, a former professor of gynecology, inspired the creation of the Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation, a charity that has been promoting breast cancer awareness in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for 17 years. Despite being diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 69, she fought the disease with great courage and determination.
