WTC Final Ind vs Aus Highlights & Score updates Day 2

0

On the second day of the World Test Cricket Championship, India reached 151 for five stumps against Australia yesterday. Relentless stumps removed Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill from Scott Boland and Pat Cummins, leaving India with 37/2 in 10 overs as Australia led with 469 all out in its first inning.

The dynamic duo of Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara took the lead at the end of Day 2 of the competition after India accelerated the pace from Day 1 of the finals by 437 runs. Gill’s foot slightly pulled, but Muhammad Siraj was successful in bowling for 4/108 in 28.3 overs. Muhammed Shami and Shardul Thakur, who alternated between bowling and batting, each took two wickets.

The scales temporarily tipped in favor of Australia due to India’s difficult time on the field and the contributions of Travis Head and Steve Smith, who scored 163 and 121 runs, respectively, in the batting crease, leaving India in a dire situation. With 151/5 for 38 overs and the contributions of Ravindra Jadeja (batting 29), Ajinkya Rahane (batting 48), and Nathan Lyon (bowling 1/4), India was able to hold off Australia.
