Hyderabad: N Ramchander Rao, the president of Telangana BJP, assured Puttapaka farmers that he will address their issues with the state government. Farmers from Puttapaka village in the Choutuppal mandal of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district are worried about losing their land due to changes in the RRR road alignment. They visited Rao to discuss their concerns.
The farmers explained that the new alignment of the Regional Ring Road encroaches on their farmland, causing significant losses. They urged the government to scrap the current plan and conduct a new survey. The villagers proposed using nearby hill land for the road, which is not suitable for farming, to preserve their valuable fields.
Many of these farmers own small plots and are facing financial strain due to the road project. They fear losing their livelihoods. After listening to their plight, Rao promised to bring the issue to the authorities’ attention. He emphasized that the government should safeguard the farmers’ land and livelihoods. Rao called for a reevaluation of the RRR alignment to ensure it does not harm the farmers.
