Since the road was dug up two months ago, residents have struggled to navigate the two-foot-deep trench, which has made simple tasks like commuting and running errands a strenuous endeavor. The situation worsens during rainy days, when the trench fills with water, making it even more hazardous.
Local residents have repeatedly contacted municipal officials, seeking updates and action on the repairs. Unfortunately, many report that their calls go unanswered or are met with dismissive responses. “Every day feels like an uphill battle,” said a resident who wished to remain anonymous. “We are told that someone will come to fix the road tomorrow, but tomorrow never comes.”
