The Indian School of Business (ISB) in Hyderabad has launched its first Post Graduate Programme in Management for Young Leaders (PGP YL), welcoming 130 students for this 20-month course.
To ensure accessibility, ISB has provided tuition waivers to 36% of these students, offering 37 full waivers and nine partial ones.
Professor Madan Pillutla, the Dean of ISB, expressed enthusiasm for this inaugural class. He highlighted that the program is tailored for recent graduates and early-career professionals, focusing on building a strong base in business, technology, and leadership.
Over the course of 20 months, students will engage in a leadership development program. They will learn from top faculty and industry leaders, gain global experiences, and receive career development support. This program aims to shape students into leaders ready for today’s fast-paced business world.
The curriculum combines essential business skills with advanced studies in technology, data, analytics, and global viewpoints, preparing students for leadership roles in a changing business landscape.
The first class, averaging 23 years of age, includes diverse academic backgrounds and has undergone a selective admission process. The cohort consists of 32% fresh graduates, with the remainder having less than two years of work experience. The class is evenly split between men and women and includes students from all major regions of India.
This year, students achieved impressive scores: 99.1 percentile in CAT, 731 in GMAT Classic, 677 in GMAT Focus, and 327 in GRE. Many have strong academic records and notable extracurricular achievements, aligning with ISB’s reputation for attracting well-rounded individuals. This class profile demonstrates ISB’s dedication to recruiting top talent nationwide.
