Hyderabad: On World Sparrow Day, Mines and Labour Minister Vivek Venkataswamy kicked off a 3K run held by Glendale International School at Sun City, Hyderabad.
The Minister emphasized the importance of sparrows in keeping the environment balanced. He warned that the decrease in sparrow numbers signals environmental issues. He urged everyone to plant trees and provide food and water for birds. Minister Venkataswamy suggested that schools should host such events to teach kids about protecting the environment.
He praised Glendale School’s organizers for their positive initiative. Minister Venkataswamy’s wife, Sarojana, also attended the event.
