Nehru Zoo in Hyderabad inaugurates new attraction: 'Insect World'

A new Insect World has been opened at Nehru Zoological Park in Hyderabad. The inauguration was done by R M Dobriyal, the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests. This is part of the zoo’s efforts to educate and raise awareness among visitors. Along with the Insect World, a butterfly garden has also been built and the Wildlife Hospital has been renovated.

The Insect World contains more than 1,200 specimens of insects and their literature. It provides an opportunity for visitors to learn about different types of insects and their characteristics. The renovated Wildlife Hospital is now equipped with new instruments and advanced machines for surgeries, blood tests, and ECGs.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Lokesh Jayaswal, the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, VSNV Prasad, the Director of Zoo Parks, Dr Sunil S Hiremath, the Curator, A Nagamani, the Deputy Curator, and Dr MA Hakeem, the Deputy Director of Veterinary, among others.
