Kishan pleads with EAM to assist in repatriating students stuck in Kyrgyzstan

Union Minister for Culture and Tourism G Kishan Reddy has written a letter to the External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar, asking for help in bringing back students from Kyrgyzstan who are facing problems. Many Telugu students studying medicine in Kyrgyzstan are living in unsafe conditions, with reports of attacks on Indian students by locals.

Parents have expressed concerns about the safety of their children, as many students are living without basic necessities like lights in hostels or their own rooms. The situation has caused a lot of anxiety and insecurity among the parents, and Kishan Reddy believes it’s best for the students to come back to India until things settle down.

He has requested the government to arrange special flights to bring the Indian students back home. The minister emphasized the need to address the immediate concerns of the students and their families.
