Hyderabad: Dr. K Kesava Rao, Advisor to the Telangana State Government and former Rajya Sabha member, spoke about his past efforts to improve education. He said that when he was a minister, he helped start the universal education system and set up a university. His main goal was to teach skills to people who had none.

Dr. Rao gave a speech as the chief guest at the closing ceremony of “Social Empowerment Week” at Dr. BR Ambedkar University. The event was held to celebrate the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Dr. Rao said he felt proud to have helped launch universal education 43 years ago. He also praised the growth of Ambedkar University.

He said he hopes the university will continue to grow by adding more technical courses. These skill-based programs, he explained, will help students find jobs and even start their own businesses.
