Telangana government changes top IAS and IPS officers

The Telangana government has reorganized its top IAS and IPS officers to improve efficiency and streamline operations. These changes are intended to enhance governance and support various departments effectively.

One significant change involves Syed Ali Murtaza Rizvi, IAS (1999), now acting as the Principal Secretary to the Government in the General Administration Department, taking over from M. Raghunandan Rao, IAS (2002). Rao has been reassigned as the Commissioner of Commercial Taxes and Transport, succeeding K. Surendra Mohan, IAS (2006), who is now the Secretary for the Agriculture & Co-operation Department.

K. Haritha, IAS (2013), has moved from the Education Department to become the Special Secretary in the Finance Department. Sandeep Kumar Jha, IAS (2014), formerly the Collector & District Magistrate of Rajanna Sircilla, now serves as Special Secretary in the TR&B Department.

In policing, notable shifts include Ravi Gupta, IPS (1990), taking over as Executive Vice-Chairman & Director General of the Centre for Good Governance. He replaces C.V. Anand, IPS (1991), who now serves as Special Chief Secretary for the Home Department.

Shikha Goel, IPS (1994), is appointed as Director General of Vigilance & Enforcement, while V.C. Sajjanar, IPS (1996), becomes the Police Commissioner of Hyderabad City.

Additional appointments include Vijay Kumar, IPS (1997), becoming the Additional Director General of Police for Intelligence, and Y. Nagi Reddy, IPS (1997), now leading the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation as Managing Director.
