Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will break ground for a new Akshaya Patra kitchen facility on Monday morning in Kodangal. The groundbreaking ceremony is set to begin at 11 am.
Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa will lead the ceremony. He works as a trustee and regional head for The Akshaya Patra Foundation in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Several top government officials will join the event. Speaker Gaddam Prasad and four ministers will attend: D Sridhar Babu, V Srihari, D Raja Narsimha, and Jupally Krishna Rao.
Additional political leaders expected at the ceremony include MP DK Aruna and legislative council members Patnam Mahender Reddy and Surabhi Vani Devi.
The new cooking facility will cover two acres of land. This modern kitchen will prepare meals for the government’s mid-day meal program that feeds school children.
Students in government schools throughout Kodangal will benefit from this kitchen. The area serves as the Chief Minister’s Assembly constituency, making this project particularly significant for the region.
The Akshaya Patra Foundation operates similar kitchens across India to support school meal programs. This new facility represents their expansion into Telangana’s educational nutrition efforts.
