Hyderabad, November 27, 2025 – Cyberabad Police and GHMC have joined forces to address traffic congestion and infrastructure challenges through a comprehensive action plan developed at a key joint meeting.
Leadership Collaboration
The meeting was co-chaired by Cyberabad Joint CP Traffic Dr. Gajarao Bhupal, IPS and GHMC Zonal Commissioner Bhorkhade Hemant Sahadeorao, IAS (Serilingampally Zone), along with other senior officials from both departments.

The discussion centered on immediate and long-term solutions for traffic management, road safety, and infrastructure upgrades, especially in the IT corridor and critical junctions that experience heavy congestion during peak hours.
Key Action Points
The collaborative plan includes:
Grade Separators: Constructing new underpasses, flyovers, and foot over bridges (FoBs) to ease congestion at major junctions
Pedestrian Safety: Improving safety with dedicated footpaths and skywalks to protect pedestrians and encourage walkability
Drainage Completion: Finishing drainage systems and maintenance to prevent waterlogging during monsoons
Traffic Flow: Addressing bottlenecks and widening roads for smoother vehicle movement
Encroachment Removal: Taking action against illegal encroachments that obstruct traffic and pedestrian movement
Signal Upgrades: Upgrading traffic signals and lighting for better visibility and traffic management
