Hyderabad: Residents in the Langer Houz area are raising concerns over a severe mosquito menace, with a video circulating online appearing to show large numbers of mosquitoes moving through the area, reportedly from locations near water bodies and ponds.
The situation has added to growing concerns among residents about mosquito control measures in Hyderabad. Locals say mosquito-related problems have become particularly severe this year, with complaints being reported from several parts of the city.
Residents Seek Mosquito Control Measures
Residents claim that routine measures such as fogging, cleaning of ponds and removal of vegetation from water bodies have been carried out in previous years to control mosquito breeding. However, they say the situation in several areas has deteriorated this year.
The video shared from Langer Houz has renewed calls for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to intensify mosquito-control operations, particularly around stagnant water bodies and other potential breeding locations.
Residents are seeking regular fogging, removal of mosquito-breeding sources and cleaning of neglected water bodies to prevent the situation from worsening.
