Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will depart for Delhi on Tuesday to participate in a crucial Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting scheduled for Wednesday in New Delhi. Following the high-level party meeting, the Chief Minister will embark on a 10-day international tour to the United Kingdom and the United States, departing on Wednesday night and returning on August 30. The primary objective of this foreign visit is to attract investments in world-class education and position Telangana as a premier global hub for industries and academic partnerships.
The CWC meeting in the national capital will witness the participation of top Congress leaders including AICC chief Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, and Chief Ministers of Congress-ruled states. The meeting agenda focuses on formulating a roadmap to corner the Centre on national issues, with primary emphasis on student protests and alleged Ram Temple donation irregularities. Party leaders will also deliberate on the prevailing political scenario across the country during this important gathering.
The Chief Minister’s international itinerary begins with his arrival in London on the morning of August 20, where he will attend the marriage of AIMIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi’s daughter Fatima Owaisi. On August 21, he will visit the Blavatnik School of Governance at Oxford University and attend an English Premier League football presentation at Emirates Stadium. The following day will include interactions with the Cambridge team, a visit to the Senate House at the University of London, and a tour of the London Business School.
The delegation will fly to Boston, USA on August 23, where meetings are scheduled at Harvard University and MIT campuses on August 24 before traveling to New York. On August 25, the team will visit Northeastern University and hold bilateral talks with representatives from Virginia Tech University. The Chief Minister will attend a ‘Meet & Greet’ event organized by the Indian Overseas Congress in New York on August 26, aimed at engaging the Indian diaspora and business leaders.
The delegation, which includes senior state officials, will attend industrial roundtable sessions on August 27 and 28 with top global CEOs, venture capitalists, and multinational firms to discuss data centre expansion and manufacturing set-ups in Hyderabad. The tour focuses on core sectors including Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Life Sciences, Green Energy, and Skill Development. The Chief Minister will depart from New York on August 29 and is scheduled to land back in Hyderabad on August 30.
