Prabhavathi, who serves as Town Planning Supervisor at GHMC Santhosh Nagar Circle 25 in the Charminar Zone, was caught red-handed by ACB officials from City Range-I while accepting illegal gratification from a complainant. The accused official had demanded and accepted a bribe amount of Rs. 20,000 for processing official documents related to building permissions.

During the operation conducted by the ACB officials, the entire bribe amount of Rs. 20,000 was recovered from the possession of the accused supervisor. The recovery was made immediately after the trap was laid, confirming the allegations against Smt Ch. Prabhavathi. The ACB team followed standard procedures during the operation to ensure proper evidence collection and documentation of the offense.
