The 14th Edition NMDC Marathon Hyderabad Marathon-2026 will take place on 30th August 2026 (Sunday) from 5:00 AM to 11:30 AM, according to a traffic advisory issued by the Joint Commissioner of Police Traffic, Cyberabad. The marathon will cover various roads across the city, starting from People’s Plaza, Necklace Road in Hyderabad City and Hitex Exhibition Hall, with the finish line at GMC Balayogi Stadium, Gachibowli.
Three separate runs have been organized for the event: a full Marathon of 42.195 kilometers, a Half Marathon of 21.097 kilometers, and a 10-kilometer run. The Marathon and Half Marathon will both begin at People’s Plaza on Necklace Road in Hyderabad City, while the 10-kilometer run will start from Hitex Exhibition Hall in Khanamet, Madhapur. All three races will conclude at GMC Balayogi Stadium in Gachibowli, Cyberabad.
The full marathon route will start from the Hyderabad Police Commissionerate limits at People’s Plaza, passing through Jubilee Hills before entering Cyberabad limits from Road No. 45. Runners will proceed through Cable Bridge, ITC Kohinoor, and take a U-turn at Knowledge City Gate No. 8. The route continues past My Home Abhra, C Gate Junction, IKEA at Mind Space Rotary, and then moves towards Transco, NCB/Bio Diversity Junction. After a right turn at Pistha House and South India Shopping Mall, participants will pass Gachibowli Flyover, Indira Nagar, and IIIT Junction before entering the University of Hyderabad campus through Gate No. 2 and finishing at Gachibowli Stadium.
The half marathon follows a similar route starting from People’s Plaza in Hyderabad, passing through Jubilee Hills and entering Cyberabad limits at Road No. 45. The route includes Cable Bridge, ITC Kohinoor, My Home Abhra, C Gate Junction, IKEA Mind Space Rotary, and continues through Transco, NCB/Bio Diversity Junction. Runners will pass Pistha House, South India Shopping Mall, Gachibowli Flyover, Indira Nagar, and IIIT Junction before finishing at Gachibowli Stadium through Gate No. 2.
For the 10-kilometer run, participants will start from Hitex Exhibition Hall and proceed through NAC main gate, Metal Charminar Junction, CII Junction, GATI, Rainbow Hospital, Tech Mahindra Gate, Dell Junction, and HSBC Exit Junction. The route continues through Lemon Tree Junction, IKEA underpass, merging at IOCL, Transco, and NCB/Bio Diversity Junction. Runners will then pass through Telecom Nagar, Gachibowli Flyover, Indira Nagar, and IIIT Junction before finishing at Gachibowli Stadium through Gate No. 1.
Significant traffic diversions will be implemented at 12 junction points throughout the city to facilitate the smooth conduct of the marathon. At Khajaguda Junction, traffic from Shaikpet flyover/Darga Junction towards Lingampally will be diverted from 0600 hours to 1100 hours via Nanakramguda Rotary-1, Nanakramguda Rotary-2, Wipro Circle, Gowlidoddi, Gopanpally Junction, and Nalagandla. Similarly, at Masjidbanda T-Junction, vehicles coming from Lingampally towards Mehidipatnam will be redirected through Heritage Junction, Botanical Garden signal, Anjaiah Nagar, Radisson, PJR Flyover, and ORR during the same time period.
Additional diversions have been planned at Cyber Tower Junction from 0600 hours to 0900 hours, where traffic from Road No. 36 Neerus and COD towards Kothaguda/Kondapur will be redirected via Ikea rotary, Meenakshi Junction, Rolling Hills, and under PJR flyover. At IKEA Junction, vehicles heading towards ORR via Bio-diversity will be diverted from 0600 hours to 1000 hours through Ikea new U-turn, Arbitrage, Inorbit Road, and Shilpa Layout flyover. The traffic advisory, bearing reference number 219/T4/Traffic Admin/Cyb/2026 dated 27th August 2026, has been issued by the Office of the Joint Commissioner of Police Traffic, Cyberabad, Government of Telangana.
