Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has announced a major reshuffle in the state government, with Minister Konda Surekha being dropped from the Council of Ministers with immediate effect. The decision was taken by the Chief Minister and a formal recommendation has already been sent to the Governor of Telangana for approval. This development marks a significant change in the state’s ministerial composition.
In addition to the ministerial change, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has also rescinded the appointment of Dr. G. Chinna Reddy as Vice Chairman of the Telangana Planning Board with immediate effect. Gadwal Vijayalakshmi has been appointed as the new Vice Chairman of the Telangana Planning Board, replacing Dr. Chinna Reddy. This administrative reorganization reflects the government’s efforts to bring fresh leadership to key positions in the state’s planning and development sector.
The Chief Minister has approved the appointment of Nerella Sharada as the new Chairperson of the Telangana State Commission for Women in Hyderabad. This appointment is expected to strengthen the commission’s role in addressing women’s issues and ensuring their welfare across the state. The commission plays a crucial role in safeguarding women’s rights and addressing gender-related concerns in Telangana.
Furthermore, Smt. G. Sudha Rani, former Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Kakatiya Urban Development Authority (KUDA). The urban development authority is responsible for planning and implementing development projects in the Kakatiya region, and Sudha Rani’s political experience is expected to bring strategic direction to the organization’s initiatives.
