The Government of Telangana has granted permission for enhanced ticket rates for the Telugu movie “THE PARADISE” releasing on 24 September 2026 across all theaters in the state. The order, issued by the Home (General) Department under Memo No. 21/HOME-GEN2/2026 dated 20 September 2026, was digitally signed by Shikha Goel, Principal Secretary to Government. The decision comes following requests from M/s Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas LLP dated 1 July 2026 and 10 September 2026, and in pursuance of earlier orders issued in G.O.Ms.No.77 dated 14 August 2026.
The pricing structure includes a special premiere show on 23 September 2026 at 06:30 PM with tickets priced at Rs.500 inclusive of GST. For single screen theaters, enhanced rates of Rs.48 including GST will apply from 24 September to 27 September 2026, followed by Rs.23 including GST from 28 September to 3 October 2026. Multiplexes and special theaters will charge Rs.95 including GST for the period 24 September to 27 September 2026, and Rs.45 including GST from 28 September to 3 October 2026. The enhanced rates are applicable for 5 shows per day across all theaters in Telangana.
As part of the approval conditions, M/s Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas LLP has been directed to compulsorily contribute Rs.1,00,000 (Rupees One Crore) into the Telugu Film Industry Employees’ Welfare Committee Account operated by the Film Development Corporation. This amount will be utilized for the benefit and welfare of employees and workers engaged in the film industry. The government order also mandates screening of advertisements highlighting the adverse effects of using narcotics, drugs and cybercrime.
All District Collectors, Commissioners of Police and Licensing Authorities (Cinemas) in the state have been instructed to take necessary action and ensure compliance by theater managements. The order has been distributed to relevant government officials including the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, the Revenue (CT) Department, the Managing Director of Telangana Film Development Corporation, and M/s Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas LLP. The digitally signed order was issued on 20 September 2026 at 14:39:23 hours.
