The Cyberabad Traffic Police have proposed to extend the road closure between DLF Gate No. 1 and Gachibowli Traffic PS for a further three months, starting 27 October 2026. The advisory was issued by the Jt. Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Cyberabad, under reference No: 294/T4/Traffic Admin/Cyb/2026, dated 26 October 2026.

The closure is linked to the ongoing construction of the multi-level flyover and underpass at IIIT Junction. An earlier advisory had been issued for 90 days with effect from 1 July 2026 to facilitate the works. The police say the extension is meant to expedite construction.

The stretch will be partially opened to traffic in phases. This will depend on the progress of construction activities and the availability of sufficient road space. The advisory lists the time period for the extension as 90 days from 27 October 2026.

For the route from Radisson Hotel to IIIT Junction via DLF, traffic will be allowed up to DLF Gate No. 1 and blocked beyond it. Commuters should go via Gachibowli Junction, take a right turn towards Indiranagar and then reach IIIT Junction. Employees of TCS operating through the Non-SEZ (CMC) gate can enter and exit through their regular Non-SEZ gate.

For the route from Gachibowli Traffic PS to Radisson Hotel Junction via DLF building, traffic coming from the Lingampally side and heading towards DLF road will be diverted at Gachibowli Traffic PS. These vehicles should go via IIIT Junction and Gachibowli Junction, take a left turn at Radisson Junction, and then take another left turn to reach DLF.

The advisory notes that the flyover development works may continue for at least one year, and traffic congestion is expected in and around IIIT Junction. Regular commuters, including IT employees, are requested to take alternate routes for a safer commute. The general public is asked to plan accordingly and co-operate with the Cyberabad Traffic Police to ensure free flow of traffic. A copy of the advisory has been marked to the SHO, Gachibowli Traffic PS, for necessary action.
