The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested a Mandal Agriculture Officer in Sangareddy district on Tuesday. The officer was caught accepting a bribe of ₹20,000 at his office.

The accused is G Ramesh, Mandal Agriculture Officer of Sadasivpet mandal. According to the ACB, he was caught red-handed at around 1 pm on November 3, 2026. He was demanding and accepting the money from a complainant.

The ACB said the officer had demanded a total bribe of ₹30,000. The money was allegedly meant to ensure the smooth and uninterrupted functioning of a fertiliser business run by the complainant’s son-in-law. He had already received ₹10,000 on October 19, 2026.
