    Amidst allegations, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress seem to be friendly. The recent conference in Bengaluru has boosted the morale of Congress, but there is speculation that Delhi’s Congress leaders are worried about their future due to the new partnership with AAP. Prior to this, AAP was a critic of Congress, with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal even stating that Congress is finished. Some Congress leaders have criticized the AAP government over controversies. The alliance between AAP and Congress has affected the morale of Delhi Congress leaders and caused them to think about their political future. According to reports, the AAP leadership has instructed its social media staff not to tweet against Congress.

    Experts believe that the friendship between central leadership and AAP has made the political future of Congress in Delhi unstable. In the 2020 elections, AAP received 54% of the votes, BJP received 38%, and Congress only received 4.26%. In 2019, BJP was on top with 57% and Congress was second with 22.5%, while AAP had 18.1% of the votes.

    The AAP now supports the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC), which has caused opposition from minority leaders in Delhi Congress. Recently, AAP also backed the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), while Congress leadership remained silent on the issue.
