The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has asked K. T. Rama Rao (KTR), former Minister and now Working President of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), to come for questioning. This session is about the Formula E Race case and is scheduled for Monday, the 16th, at 10 am.
Earlier, the ACB requested KTR to appear on May 28. However, KTR was on a tour in America and informed the ACB he couldn’t attend then. He promised to cooperate after his return. The ACB accepted this and has now set a new date.
KTR has been questioned before by both the ACB and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) about this case. On January 6, he went to the ACB with his legal team but left because officials didn’t let him in. He returned on January 8 and was questioned for about seven hours. When called on January 9, KTR asked for more time.
The ACB is also questioning Arvind Kumar, Secretary of the Municipal Department, and BLN Reddy, former Chief Engineer of HMDA, in this investigation. The case involves allegations of misuse of ₹55 crores during the Formula E race held in Hyderabad under the BRS administration.
