Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Telangana recently carried out unannounced checks at government welfare hostels. These inspections took place in Ramannapet mandal, located in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District, and at Damargidda near Singareni Cross Roads in Narayanpet District.

These hostels aim to provide support for students from scheduled castes and other marginalized groups. The ACB team examined various aspects, including the quality of food and the accuracy of records.

A diverse team conducted the inspections. It included an Inspector from Legal Metrology for checking weights and measures, a Sanitary Inspector for hygiene evaluation, a Food Inspector to assess food quality, and an Auditor for reviewing financial and student records. The officials stated that the ACB compiled a comprehensive report on the findings and have forwarded it to the government for necessary action.
