    A tragic incident occurred during the ISCKON rath yatra in Unakoti district of Tripura. The chariot, which was made of iron and beautifully decorated, came into contact with an overhead high voltage electric wire. As a result, the chariot caught fire and six people lost their lives instantly. Over 18 others were injured and they were immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where some are in critical condition.

    The police are now investigating how the chariot ended up touching the electric wire and causing this terrible accident. Meanwhile, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha expressed his condolences for the deaths and announced on social media that he was on his way to Kumarghat from Agartala to assess the situation.

    In a heartfelt message, Saha expressed his deep sadness over the incident. He offered his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and wished a speedy recovery to the injured individuals. The state government is committed to supporting them during this difficult time.
