Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTU-H) has been chosen by AdaniConneX Data Centre Private Limited to establish the largest data centre in Telangana. The Vice-Chancellor of JNTU-H, Professor Katta Narasimha Reddy, along with other university officials, held discussions with AdaniConneX about setting up the data centre. AdaniConneX has agreed to establish the data centre for Rs 5 crore in the new alumni building.
The Vice-Chancellor stated that there are many advantages to having data centres and agreed to set up the largest data centre in Telangana at JNTU-H. This data centre will allow students and large companies to store their data. It will also store the details of engineering college students and various organizations in the state. Additionally, it will provide benefits for research and students’ project work.
AdaniConneX will provide full management and training to the faculty for five years before handing over the department to JNTU-H. The Vice-Chancellor expressed full support for the establishment of this data centre, mentioning that a similar data centre was already set up at IIT Madras.
Vice-Chancellor Katta Narasimha Reddy highlighted the multiple benefits of this data centre for students and large organizations.
