    Officials Urged to Speed Up Employment Guarantee Works

    Gadwal Additional Collector Narsinga Rao has instructed officials to speed up employment guarantee works and complete the set targets on time.

    On Wednesday, he visited Chenugonipally village in Gadwal Mandal to inspect the ongoing projects under the employment guarantee scheme (EGS). During his visit, he reviewed the work and gave important suggestions for improvement. He also checked the poultry and cattle sheds in the village and asked officials to install name boards at these locations. He stressed that such projects should help boost the rural economy and increase income for farmers and laborers.

    Later, the Additional Collector visited Gonupadu village to examine land development works. He spoke to laborers to understand their working conditions and ensure they were receiving proper wages. He instructed the Assistant Project Officer (APO) to make sure the projects meet their targets and that records are maintained correctly. He also urged officials to take steps to encourage more laborers to participate in employment guarantee works.

    Since it is summer, he emphasized the importance of providing drinking water, ORS packets, and other essential facilities to workers. Additionally, he inspected the village dumping yard and directed officials to follow proper waste management practices by separating wet and dry waste.
