Students from Agricultural College, Adilabad demonstrated exceptional talent at the Agri Youth Festival 2025-26 held at Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University, Rajendranagar. The three-day event, themed “Cultivating Ideas Harvesting Futures,” took place from February 19 to February 21, 2025, bringing together agricultural students from across Telangana.
A total of 13 Agricultural Colleges from different parts of the state participated in 27 diverse competitive events. The festival served as a platform for students to showcase their creativity, leadership abilities, and innovative thinking in agriculture-related activities. Under the guidance of Associate Dean Dr. Y. Praveen Kumar, Dr. G. Manjulatha (Head of the Department and Students’ Affairs In-charge), and Ms. Nagalakshmi (Physical Director), 25 students from Agricultural College, Adilabad participated actively in all competitions.
The Adilabad college students secured prizes in 10 different events, demonstrating their versatility across academic, cultural, and creative categories. The achievements included a first prize in Mime, second prizes in Agri-Business Idea and Folk Dance, and third prizes in Essay Writing, Quiz Competition, Live Dance, and Group Dance. The students competed against peers from multiple agricultural institutions across Telangana.
Speaking about the festival, Associate Dean Dr. Y. Praveen Kumar stated that the Agri Youth Festival is a platform to bring out students’ creativity, leadership qualities, and innovative thinking. The event provided students with opportunities to develop skills beyond traditional classroom learning and engage with contemporary agricultural challenges through various competitive formats.
The performance of the Adilabad students highlighted the college’s commitment to holistic education, combining agricultural knowledge with cultural and creative expression. The students’ success in both academic competitions like essay writing and quiz, as well as cultural events like mime, folk dance, and group dance, demonstrated their well-rounded development.
The college management congratulated the students for their outstanding performance and achievements at the state-level festival. The recognition received by the students reflects the quality of training and support provided by the faculty members and the institution’s emphasis on encouraging student participation in extracurricular activities alongside academic pursuits.
