A two-month-old baby was taken near the Afzalgunj police station limits. The mother, Swati, lives on the footpath and earns money by asking for alms. The baby was kidnapped while the mother was sleeping. An unknown lady and her male partner took the infant and ran away. The mother noticed her baby was gone and started shouting for help.
The Afzalgunj police quickly responded to the situation and looked at CCTV footage. They found footage of the kidnappers, a lady and her male partner, boarding a TSRTC bus and heading towards Falaknuma area. The police have registered a kidnapping case, and they are investigating the incident.
