Sunrisers Hyderabad’s pacer, Umran Malik, made a cheeky remark before their final IPL 2023 game against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium. Umran had only played seven games this season and took just five wickets, making it difficult to maintain consistent pace. However, he continued to work hard and hoped to do well in the upcoming game.

When asked how he kept up with the same pace despite sitting out for long, Umran replied, “When you bowl only two overs, it’s not easy to load up and bowl at full pace consistently. I’ve been trying to hit good areas.” In a must-win game, Mumbai Indians won the toss and opted to bowl against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
