According to sources from AICC, it is likely that A Revanth Reddy’s name will be cleared and announced by AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge. By evening, Revanth Reddy and a few ministers are expected to take oath. It has been reported that 63 out of 64 MLAs have suggested Revanth Reddy’s name.
The AICC leadership is expected to make a final decision on the Chief Minister candidature by this evening.
Sources have revealed that Congress leader DK Siva Kumar has communicated with AICC President Mallikarjuna Kharge regarding a resolution that delegates powers to the Congress High command to select the CM candidate.
The Congress High command will consult with senior leaders and reach a conclusion soon.
