The AICC Incharge (TS) Manikrao Thakre has filed a complaint with the Election Commission of India about the distribution of money for the Dalit Bandhu scheme during the Election Code. In a letter to the Chief Election Commissioner of India, Manikrao questioned the timing of the money distribution for the Rythu Bandhu Scheme. He mentioned that while the disbursement for the first crop was done in June 2023, the distribution for the second crop is yet to start. Manikrao emphasized that the disbursement should take place either before the nomination filing date of November 3, 2023, or after the polling on November 30, 2023, in order to uphold the Model Code of Conduct and ensure fair elections. He also pointed out that the ruling party has used state funds to influence electoral outcomes.
