The final event of the All India Quran memorization competition is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, September 25. It will be held at Kings Palace in Guddi Malkapur, Hyderabad. The top three winners of the competition will get a special prize: a visa to perform Umrah.
According to Qari Mohammad Abdul Rahman, the managing director of SRZ Enterprises, there will be several prizes for the winners. The first prize is Rs 1 lakh, the second prize is Rs 50,000, and the third prize is Rs 25,000. In addition to these cash rewards, the winners will also receive Umrah tickets and accommodation packages. This competition is one of a kind in India, and many Quran memorizers (huffaz) from all over the country took part. Ten participants have made it to the final round. Apart from the top three prizes, all finalists will receive special incentive prizes.
The final competition will be overseen by Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani, the president of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board. Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi will be the chief guest at the event. The judges for the competition include Hafiz Mohammed Sirajuddin Omari from Tamil Nadu, Hafiz and Qari Abdul Majeed Ziyai from Karnataka, and Hafiz and Qari Younis Ali Khan from Hyderabad. The final round will take place in two sessions.
