Karimnagar (Jagtial): Alphores Educational Institutions Chairman, V. Narender Reddy, has announced that he will run in the upcoming Graduate MLC elections.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Narender Reddy confirmed that he would contest as an independent candidate, regardless of whether any political party supports him. He explained that he had discussed the matter with the current MLC, Tatiparthi Jeevan Reddy, who has decided not to run this time. After receiving Tatiparthi’s advice, Narender Reddy decided to enter the race.
Narender Reddy shared that he had joined the Congress party before the 2018 Assembly elections and was supposed to run for the Karimnagar assembly seat at that time. However, due to certain circumstances, he could not participate in the election.
If elected, Narender Reddy expressed his desire to become a strong voice for education reforms in the Council. He emphasized that his deep understanding of both private and public education sectors could help him make significant contributions. He also mentioned that his association with three generations through Alphores educational institutions gives him confidence in his ability to improve the education system in Telangana.
Narender Reddy has been involved in setting up educational institutions for the past 34 years. He proudly noted that he has established schools and colleges from kindergarten to post-graduation, maintaining high standards throughout his career. He aims to make Telangana’s education system one of the best in the country.
Originally from Kodimyal in Jagtial district, Narender Reddy mentioned that he is contesting the election from his home district. He shared that he studied at Kodimyal Government School, completed his intermediate education at Karimnagar Science Wing College, earned his degree at SRR College, and finished his post-graduation at Osmania University.
Currently, Narender Reddy is running about 60 educational institutions across several districts in Telangana. He also announced that if he wins the MLC election, he would take special initiatives to bring about significant changes in the government education system. He added that he has already started the registration process for graduate MLC voters.
